Final Film
Hey ya'lls! The reason I haven't been on much lately is THIS thing! My final project for winter quarter, entitled Writer's Block. Enjoy!

Production journal sounds like a good idea :P I'll keep one for my Spring Project. (yes, I have yet another film to make). I was director, producer, cinematographer, screenwriter, costume, camera man, sound mixer and editor. The only things I didn't do were act, hold the boom mic and design sets XD The project was an interesting one to tackle, the worst being the floormates in the dorms never being quiet during shoots.
Another interesting fact was that a solid five minutes was cut out of this (eve though -I- didn't want to cut them), which included at least 6 extra scenes that surrounded the characters more and balanced out screentime with the writer. But, as there was a time limit, they had to go for the sake of a quick story :P
Another interesting fact was that I went to the hospital during production because I had a panic attack (fun times) but I was still able to shoot later that day XD
Editing was a nightmare. The New Media Labs in the building are small and often sought after between 4 different majors (we're considered on the bottom of the rung :( ) and the day before the films were due, four of my classmates spent the night there. Thankfully, as I chose to start filming week 4, I was fully done with my film, down to sound equalizing, the day before crunch day.
All in all, this was a unique and fun challenge (you can find the bloopers on my Youtube account). Wait till you see the spring film, Blank :P I'm about 25% done with pre-production (pulled an all nighter constructing a lycra skintight face mask for the main character)

Tell us about the project. Why no production journal that we could follow throughout?! Did you cut it as well writing and directing it (good lord)?
